"A Float Full Of Smurfs" was an episode that appeared in Season 4 of the Smurfs cartoon show.
Summary
The episode begins with Gargamel reading his Almanac of 101 Nauseating Days of the Year. Gargamel explains to Azrael that tomorrow is the Smurf Autumn Carnival. He reads, "each year, the Smurfs go out in the woods and select a big bunny for the honor of pulling their harvest float, and its traditional cargo of six Smurfs". Gargamel muses that six Smurfs is enough to make gold.
We next see Tailor Smurfs' house. Tailor is adjusting Vanity Smurf's Peacock Carnival costume. Vanity is unhappy with the quality of his costume. Smurfette is dressed as a butterfly; Hefty is dressed as a bear; Grouchy is dressed as a frog, and Brainy is dressed as an owl - they are all unhappy with their costumes as well.
Gargamel has a plan. He will dress up as a big bunny and kidnap the Smurfs! He is so happy, he starts singing, "oh I'll fry a few and pickle a few and serve a few real cold, and I'll toast a few and roast a few and boil the rest for gold, hey!" Gargamel and Azrael try on their bunny costumes for the Carnival. In order to kidnap the Smurfs, they'll need to impersonate bunnies convincingly - so Gargamel tells Azrael to practice hopping!
Nat Smurf and Clumsy are in Bunny Meadow looking for bunnies. Clumsy falls into a rabbit hole and meets a family of rabbits, including Mrs. Rabbit. Unfortunately, Nat states that Mrs. Rabbit is too small to pull the carnival float. "But you're more than welcome to come and watch our carnival parade, Mrs. Rabbit", Nat says.
Gargamel and Azrael, dressed as bunnies, hop into the forest in the hopes of finding a Smurf who will invite them to pull the parade float. Nat and Lazy split up, in the hopes of improving their search.
Meanwhile, the Smurfs in costumes detail their complaints to Tailor. Tailor finally tells them, "you don't like my work - fine. You can all make your own costumes, I quit!"
Clumsy continues his search for a big bunny, and stumbles upon Gargamel and Azrael, dressed as rabbits. Clumsy is happy to find such a large bunny, especially one that talks! Clumsy invites them to lead the parade, and gives them directions. Gargamel says, "Why, I'm honored. You might say it's a golden opportunity for me, hehehe".
Papa Smurf talks to the Smurfs with costume complaints, and also to Tailor. Eventually, thanks to Papa's intervention, the two sides reconcile and the costumes are all fixed-up!
The parade gets underway, and Gargamel goes off with the Smurfs in the float! Gargamel almost makes it to his castle. However, thanks to Nat's forest friends (some scary looking wolves), Gargamel gives up his attempt. Showing pity on Gargamel, Nat stops the wolves from eating him. The parade goes on as planned (with Mrs. Rabbit and family substituting for Gargamel), and everyone has a good time - except Gargamel, of course, who is miserable in his failure.
