Barber is a character who has appeared in at least two Smurf episodes, "Symbols Of Wisdom" and "Smurfette's Golden Tresses". As his name indicates, he is the village barber who has a rather limited number of clients to work his trade with, since Papa Smurf, Smurfette, Sassette, Grandpa Smurf, and Nanny are the only Smurfs that actually have hair for him to cut.

In Vic George's EMPATH: The Luckiest Smurf story series, Barber is usually found socializing with Tapper and Sweepy during his off-hours, and is a founding member of his Barber Smurf Quartet along with Miner.
