The Gauntlets Of Gantharros are magical weapons which Gargamel wielded in the EMPATH: The Luckiest Smurf fanfiction novel. Gargamel was given these by the Great Book Of Spells which he used in order to counter Empath's incredible abilities. With the gauntlets, Gargamel was able to create armor that gave him incredible superhuman strength, the ability of flight, and some level of invulnerability, in addition to enabling him to project powerful destructive energy bursts. With these, Gargamel was able to capture more than half of the Smurfs in the village, including Papa Smurf, Baby Smurf, and Smurfette. However, the gauntlets proved to be weak against Empath's use of his mindlink ability which channeled all the mental energy of his fellow Smurfs into him, striking Gargamel with such a powerful blow that the gauntlets and the armor it created had crumbled to dust, leaving the wizard relatively powerless against Empath.
