Grouchy is one of the main characters of the Smurfs cartoon show, who has appeared on the show throughout its entire run. He is usually considered a Smurf with a negative personality, but underneath his blue body, he does indeed have a heart of gold. His usual catch phrase is "I Hate [fill in the blank]", but whenever he's alone with nobody around or feels calm, glad, etc., he would say "I love [fill in the blank]".

His character was voiced by Michael Bell.
