Holland is part of the Netherlands, which is one of the countries of western Europe, a country well known for its canals and windmills.
The time-lost Smurfs ended up in Holland during their journeys in the episode "Hearts 'N 'Smurfs", where they met a younger version of Cupid as well as Gargamel's ancestor Van Garg, who used his magic to turn Cupid's army of cupid Smurfs into bat-winged hate-spreaders.
