Mrs. Sourberry is a character that appeared in "The Clockwork Smurf". She is King Gerard's elderly maidservant who is mostly seen in charge of cooking. During the time that Imperia had Gerard incarcerated in the dungeon, she was led to believe that Gerard was stricken with an illness that lasted three years. Later on, though, she saw Gerard after he had left the dungeon with Clockwork Smurf, though because of his clothes she neither recognized him or believed that he was the prince. It was only after he had returned to his kingdom with the Smurfs' help to expose his aunt Imperia's evil plot that Mrs. Sourberry finally recognized Gerard, and supposedly stayed on as his maidservant.
- The character's name is similar to that of the brutal wife of Mr. Sowerberry in Charles Dickens' Oliver Twist story, but the character herself shares no further similarity.
