Papa's Family Album
"Papa's Family Album" was an episode that appeared in Season 5 of the Smurfs cartoon show.
Summary
Mother Nature begins the episode by thanking Papa Smurf and the Village for dinner. She enjoyed the wild Smurfberries cooked up by Greedy Smurf. She leaves by using her magic wand - which Gargamel decides to steal to go to the Village himself!
Later, Brainy Smurf catches the Smurflings stealing cookies from Greedy Smurf's house, or so he thinks. It turns out that Greedy leaves the cookies for the Smurflings to "steal" - and if they wake Greedy up, he gets to eat them. Papa Smurf says it is a game they play to teach stealth, and eat cookies. When Papa goes to tuck the Smurflings in to sleep, they begin discussing who they want to emulate as they grow older - Papa then promises to show them his family album the next day.
Gargamel lures Mother Nature out of her slumber with a howling Azrael. He then goes to steal her magic wand - but there are four of them. He takes all four, declaring that he will first destroy the Smurfs, then make himself ruler of the world. "I'll create a giagantic castle. Kings will bow to me and beg for mercy."
The next day, Papa shows the Smurflings and Brainy his family album. He starts by showing the Smurfs as babies - including a baby Painter Smurf, baby Handy Smurf, baby Hefty Smurf, Baby Vanity Smurf, Baby Harmony Smurf and Baby Brainy Smurf.
Mother Nature realizes her wands are missing and leaves to get Papa Smurf's help. Papa Smurf, meanwhile is busy telling the story of the evil imp Ho-Tap to the Smurflings. This story took place when Papa Smurf had a brown beard and the Smurfs were Smurflings! No humans were in the forest yet either. Brainy Smurf manages to stall Ho-Tap until Papa Smurf can arrive to save everyone.
In the present day, right after Mother Nature enters the Village to ask for help, Gargamel suddenly appears in Village too - using the magic wands! Using the wands he imprisons everyone, and prepares a pot to eat a single Smurf. Luckily, Brainy Smurf, with the Smurflings help, reverses the power of the magic wands and saves the day. The Smurflings have a newfound respect for Brainy, too!
