Smurfomatic picking machine

The smurfomatic picking machine was a machine Handy had built for the purpose of making gathering food much more automated in the episode "Waste Not, Smurf Not". However, as the machine proved to be too efficient as Greedy and his kitchen crew were not able to keep pace with its deliveries, Handy built another machine that would handle the process of making food in an automated way: the smurfomatic food-processing complex. With that machine, the smurfomatic picking machine docks onto a platform which is then raised up to a funnel where it dumps its load of freshly-picked smurfberries. Then the food-processing complex itself makes the various forms of food that an automatic delivery machine goes forth from it to delivery to each Smurf's doorstop.

Unfortunately, Handy's second invention also made the Smurfs use food in rather unproductive ways that, when Handy warned his fellow Smurfs about an impending food shortage due to the crops being picked clean, they gave no heed to the warning and were rather perplexed when the automated delivery machine went forth on its rounds not delivering anything. The food-processing complex was destroyed when Brainy and Clumsy went inside the machine to fiddle around with it, believing that the fault of the non-delivery of food was the machine itself. Fortunately, Papa Smurf had stockpiled food that could feed his little Smurfs for weeks as an object lesson that they should be wise when it comes to dealing with food.

It is not known what became of the smurfomatic picking machine after that point.
