Pranky is a Smurf character who is solely part of Vic George's series of EMPATH: The Luckiest Smurf fanfiction stories. According to the story series, he is the father of Jokey Smurf, who like his son was the master of pranks among his fellow Smurfs. About 50 years later, he along with his wife succumbed to the same unknown disease that claimed the lives of all their fellow Smurfs except for Papa Smurf. Jokey was then left in the care of Papa Smurf along with 96 other young Smurfs his age.

Years later, in the story "Days Of Auld Lang Smurf", Pranky supposedly came back from the dead to meet his grown-up son Jokey, who together played a prank in Tapper's Tavern on some unsuspecting Smurf involving a whoopee cushion -- the recipient of that joke turning out to be Polaris Psyche. However, Smurfette, Polaris Psyche, and the Smurflings discover and reveal the truth that the "resurrected" Pranky was just an illusion created by the Auld Lang Syne Spell that the evil witch Chlorhydris had cast upon the Smurfs.
