- "The Goblin of Boulder Wood" is based on the "Johan and Peewit" comic story Le Lutin du bois aux roches (The Goblin of Rocky Wood in English) which was published in 1954. Unlike the cartoon version, the King's kidnapped niece is not Princess Savina (who is a Hanna-Barbera creation).
