"The Smurf Who Couldn't Say No" was an episode that appeared in Season 2 of the Smurfs cartoon show.

All of the smurfs are getting ready for the firefly festival. Brainy asks Pushover to smurf flour, and eventually every smurf has Pushover do the work like pushing a wheelbarrow of rocks to the stand, and building the stand. During the night the smurfs danced except for Pushover. The smurfs also had a foxfire lottery, and Scaredy won because he smurfed the green smurfberry. Scaredy goes to Pushover's house for a favor to go to the Great Swamp to get the foxfire.
Pushover gets the foxfire from the Great Swamp, but he accidentally put the fire out. A creature rises from the swamp growling, and saying "Curses he who killed the flame. Curses he who gives me pain". Meanwile in the village, Scaredy learns about what happens if the foxfire went out. Papa Smurf told Scaredy that it would awaken the Marshmonster. Scaredy does find Pushover, and both of them run back to the village with the foxfire, and the Marshmonster growling and saying "Curses he who killed the flame. Curses he who gives me pain."
Papa Smurf does hear the Marshmonster coming towards the village, and he ordered the smurfs to evacuate the village, and meet by the bridge. He sees Pushover and Scaredy, and he tells them what to do. He also gives Scaredy a scroll to read in time of need. The foxfire does get back to the Great Swamp, and the Marshmonster goes back to sleep.
Pushover and Scaredy return to the village, and the firefly lantern that was set up earlier gets lite. In the morning when the smurfs tried to have Pushover do he says no. Pushover does say no to Smurfette, and she says that she was going to invite him to lunch, and Pushover decides that he can be a little Pushover, and says," Hey Smurfette, wait for me."
