Worry warts are a medical condition that Smurfs get when they are consumed by such excessive worrying that it makes them break out in warts, trapping their minds in a state of total indecision until the warts are removed.

Papa Smurf came down with this condition in "Papa's Worry Warts" until he came across a young wartless Wartmonger and transferred his warts unto him, freeing Papa Smurf's mind once and for all.
